Why are there no homes on the market in Austin?
More and more people are moving into the Austin area than are leaving it, and it seems that the pandemic has only accelerated this trend. As many more people are able to work remotely, they’re able to leave the more crowded and expensive cities. Also, many companies have moved here, expanding their operations—Apple, Tesla, Oracle, and Amazon, just to name a few. That’s not to mention the fact that interest rates are very low, which enables people to afford more house for their money.
